Reports to: Mill Manager
Summary: Delivers feed and other products to customers, assists in feed manufacturing, aids in grain handling and receiving.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following:
∙ Projects a positive attitude to customers and employees at all times.
∙ Provides outstanding and courteous customer service.
∙ Follows the safety guidelines and safety programs established by Brubaker Grain.
∙ Aides in loading and unloading truck.
∙ Flushes truck as needed between feed deliveries.
∙ Delivers feed (bulk and bagged) and other product as necessary to customers in a timely manner.
∙ Maintains the truck in good working order and reports all mechanical repairs as needed.
∙ Keeps the truck clean and presentable.
∙ Maintains a CDL license with all of the necessary endorsements.
∙ Assists in the manufacturing of feed, inventory maintenance, and feed mill housekeeping when
not delivering feed.
∙ Operates forklift in a safe & efficient manner.
∙ Assists in the dumping and receiving of grain, as well as loading of grain.
∙ Cleans up grain spills as necessary.
∙ Performs other duties as directed by manager and as needed.
Qualifications
Must be able to perform each job duty successfully.
Education &/or Experience
High school diploma or GED preferred; or minimum 3 years related experience &/or training, or equivalent combination of education & experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions, and manuals. Ability to write routine reports. Ability to speak effectively with customers and other employees.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Commercial Driver’s License. Class A preferred.
Physical Demands
Employee is required to stand regularly; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel: reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell. Employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employee must occasionally lift &/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception & ability to focus.
Work Environment
Employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles. Employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; outside weather conditions: extreme cold: extreme heat & risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment can be loud at times.
